Come visit us and try the delicious and unique Pel’meni, also known as Russian Dumplings. The selection is easy: potato, meat or a combination of the two; get the works with sour cream and you’ll discover Madison’s premier comfort food!
Pel’meni belong to the family of dumplings, and are related to Ukrainian varenyky and Polish pierogi . In the United States and Canada, the term pierogi or perogies is often used to describe all kinds of Eastern European dumplings, regardless of the shape, size, or filling.
So awesome. Was pretty busy when I went (this is a good thing) and I enjoyed people watching while we waited for our food. We didn’t have to wait long at all, and it was worth the wait! We got half potato, half meat with the works and it was great. Fast, inexpensive, and delicious!Katie
Best restaurant in Madison hands down. Definitely have been here almost a hundred times and never would have imagined that I would spend so much money on the same thing over and over again. If I could give it more stars I would.Ryan
So good, so filling, so unique! They just work, they’re amazing. Great in the winter because they’re substantial and filling, but the mix of ingredients are also refreshing and wonderful in the summer! I don’t get downtown often, but when I do, I try to stop in, even if I just get them to go and save them for my next meal.Ann Marie
The best dumplings I’ve ever had. I have driven from Milwaukee, more than once, just to eat Pel’meni. Others have now started to do the same, and it’s never a disappointment when we come to town specifically for a full mixed order.
